Optimized Registration Process Starting October 5, 2026
Starting October 5, 2026, registration for all market roles will be handled through an optimized, centralized registration process at www.ebutilities.at in cooperation with EDA Energiewirtschaftlicher Datenaustausch GmbH. You can find the consultation here.
The registration steps previously required for each individual system will be consolidated and handled centrally. The goal is a uniform, efficient, and simple registration process for all market participants.
As of September 30, registration will no longer be possible at www.eda.at.
What is changing?
After a successful registration and the required checks, the information necessary for further data exchange will be transmitted to the participating systems. For citizen energy models, the classification into zone levels forms the basis for further organization and processing.
Citizen energy models include:
- Community generation facilities
- Renewable energy communities
- Citizen energy communities
- Peer-to-peer contracts
- Self-suppliers
What does this mean for existing energy communities?
For energy communities already registered before October 5, 2026, there is no immediate need for action.
